Q. What does the TPI 'Personal education' cover?

A. The seminars are conducted by accredited facilitators and cover subjects such as:

Conditioning, Self Esteem, Self Talk, Self Image, Comfort Zone, Motivation, Goal Setting, Affirmations.

It shows how people behave, how attitudes come about, and more importantly, it shows how to change, if people want to.

3 values are taught: 1. A clearer awareness, understanding and appreciation of our potential,2. A stronger belief in our ability to attempt great things and succeed. 3. An expanded vision of the many possibilities, opportunities and options that we may be overlooking.

Q. How do I become a Facilitator of Pacific Institute programmes?

Firstly, attend a STEPS course, run by an accredited facilitator in your own organisation, or organised by our office in Aberdare. This course usually last 3 days.

Secondly, attend facilitator training by an accredited Pacific Institute facilitator traininer. For both STEPS and PX2 this will take 3 or 4 days, depending on the needs of the participants.

Note: PX2 will replace breakthrough and Go For It in August 2009 in Wales.

Q. How much does it cost?

The cost of the STEPS course depends on the length, venue and numbers on the course. Please contact us and we will endeavour to arrange the most convenient course for you.

The cost of a place on an open facilitator training course is £500 (+ vat). This includes all training materials and venue costs.

Q What is the difference between the Pacific Institute programmes?

The concepts are fundamentally the same for all the programmes:

1. Go For It is aimed at 14 - 16 yr olds , who are still in school. It is available in both Welsh and English.

2. Breakthrough is aimed at 16 - 19 yr olds, who have recently left school and entered the world of work for the first time.

PX2 is replacing both Go For It and Breakthrough. We will be able to retain Go For it in Welsh for large orders.

3. STEPS is aimed at 20 +, adults
