The Pacific Institute's products can be funded from
a variety of sources. Below are some of the main ones, that
have funded our education, but it is not necessarily complete.
Organisations/individuals will need to make their own contact
to ascertain if they are eligible.. Please contact the Aberdare
office for further information and clarity.
Welsh
Assembly Government
National Assembly training provision for Breakthrough and STEPS
under Skillbuild and Work based Learning for Adults contracts.
It is delivered by a network of Pacific Institute facilitators
across Wales.
Open
College Network (OCN)
All the products are accredited including IIE facilitator training.
The National Assembly training provision above can be tied into
OCN
Communities
First
Welsh Assembly Initiative aimed at regenerating the 101 most
deprived wards in Wales. Funding available for 16 years plus.
Apply via Communities First Coordinators based in Local AuthoritiesThis
can be tied into the General Teaching Council Initiative - see
below
General
Teaching Council for Wales
Providing funding for staff to go through IIE, particularly
in Communities First areas. Schools can access Communities First
funding for parents of pupils.
Employment
Service
Funding is via New
Deal contracts for economically inactive persons e.g People
claiming Job Seeekers Allowances.
New
Opportunities Fund
Application can be
made to the National Lottery.
Schools
Schools have used
their own internal budgets and also LEA budgets
Individual
Learning Accounts (ILAWALES)
Individuals
can apply for funding via Learn Direct.
Dare
Training Ltd has to be contacted prior to a client starting
a STEPS course under ILAWALES arrangements
ReAct.
Provided individuals
are eligible, our courses can be funded via ELWa's ReAct scheme
